Welcome to the Association to Save Abandoned Pets' website. Our goal is to help rescue as many cats, dogs and other pets as possible that end up in one of the Los Angeles animal shelters and find them safe and happy homes. Currenty 37,000 loving, innocent pets are euthanized each year because they were abandoned by their owners and a new owner didn't step up to take them home. This is a tragic end for so many loving animals that depend on us for their survival.

How can a totally innocent being end up on death row and be killed by lethal injection in a matter of days?
If you are one of the thousands of cats or dogs that end up in a shelter the odds are that's exactly what's in your future.
Approximately one thousand loving animals are killed by lethal injection in our shelters every week. This is due to the overwhelming numbers of cats and dogs that end up in the shelters.
It is not fair and we need to put an end to it.
